Rose Gold Embossing Powder & Sequins

Rose gold is trending big time. I’ve wanted to get my hands on Apple’s rose gold iPhone and Macbook Pro for some time now. For crafters, there’s the introduction of rose gold embossing powder and gorgeous rose gold sequins. I wanted to do a comparison of products for those of you who wondered how they compare to one another. Which products are truly rose gold? Which look more like copper color? Keep reading to see what I found!

Rose Gold Embossing Powder

The brands: Simon Says Stamp (SSS) and The Ton (TT)

These are the two brands I’ve found that carry rose gold embossing powder. They’re both very different. One is darker, one is lighter. I love them both.

Rose gold sequins

The brands: Pretty Pink Posh (PPP) and The Ton (TT)

Here are the two brands I’ve found that carry rose gold sequins and sequin mixes.

Summary

I enjoy using both embossing powders and all the sequins. The SSS embossing powder is definitely darker and has more of a coppery tone than TT embossing powder. The PPP rose gold sequins match the SSS rose gold embossing powder very well, while TT rose gold sequins compliment TT embossing powder. I use both combinations on my projects. I love the true rose gold color of TT products, but I also like using the darker SSS rose gold embossing powder because it compliments Bazzil rose gold foil cardstock.
